The realization that you’re holding yourself back from creating a healthier and fulfilling life is on you. Excuses are comfortable sayings that makes us feel justified on why nothing can’t get better or why we can’t never grow as individuals. There will never be that perfect moment in your life to stop eating junk food, watching excessive amount of television, playing video games for countless hours each day, and so forth. The path of least resistances is by far the easiest ocean to swim in. The ocean is clam and very soothing, yet we may be deeply inclined to resting in one of the nearby islands that has all of the pleasures of delicious fruits to consume. We may never venture out to other rewarding places that lies ahead over the dark and stormy vast ocean unless we change the script on how we choose to swim through our fears.

More importantly, never lie to yourself on how you feel and where you are in life. Be dead honest with yourself about your health, your environment, the people you hang around with, your job, your finances, and etc. You may honestly be comfortable with lying to yourself because you might be afraid of the dark reality that your life isn’t going anywhere. If you realize that you’re living in a comfortable island with all of the pleasures that comes with it, be sure to take note that you’re not growing and expanding your horizon unless you travel through the storm of darkness (challenges).

Take yourself seriously, and think critically about what it is that you truly want out of this life. That could be having a family of your own, a wife, a husband, rich health, an education, traveling the world in 365 days a year (okay this might be a real challenge here lol), a real relationship with God, having a successful business that is serving the worlds needs, having an awesome career that will make you smile like the sun in a cartoon, and whatever else you can imagine for yourself.

I know how hard it is to change, but believe me you have to realize that your life matters a lot and to the people around you. There are no resets in life. A game over is a game over with no “try again” click screen. Never limit yourself, or believe in the lies that you tell yourself because of your circumstances in life. Good change is possible when you decide that your fears will only make you stronger once you tackle them with a sprinkle of some godly faith.

I hope I was able to help you dear super friend during these tough times that we’re currently living in. May Jesus bless you!
