Plant the Seed
There’s always room to grow into the person that you’ve always dreamed of becoming. I am starting to learn for myself that it’s always important to love yourself (as cliché as that always sounds) and to unlearn concepts that no longer serve you. Sometimes I feel like I’ve let the weeds in my mind grow wildly while neglecting to take care of the plants that produce a clean and positive environment. Nevertheless, I believe it’s important to be self-aware of what is happening in your overall life.
Everyone possesses a spiritual plant that represents who they are as an individual. Each of one us goes through a transformational phase almost every year. Ideals change, goals change, dreams change, our physical weight changes, and so forth. We are either growing into a strong and vibrant plant, or we’re are just letting the weeds consume our lives by not taking control of our gardens. The spiritual plant that you carry within you may be in suspended animation. However, the army of the weeds will multiple within your mind causing your transformation to dwindle.
You may be wondering, how do you get rid of the weeds in your mind? Simple, by purchasing some good old fashion weed whacker spray. Funny enough, that’s not a good idea to suggest, yet I certainly believe that all of you wonderful folks know the real answer for taking care of the infestation of weeds. It’s quite evident that we have to change our behaviors that produce terrible results. I can tell you from personal experience that knowing how to change your mindset is half the battle, which the other half is putting in the work that gets you the best results. Being lazy, making excuses, and procrastinating is the real crime behind letting the weeds triumph victoriously in your garden.
Most recently, I’ve been practicing self-reflection on why it is that I am not seeing the results that I want to see within myself. I’ve come to realize that the habits, and outdated beliefs that I’ve carried over from the past till now, have held me back from reaching my transformational state. There’s nobody to blame but myself for where I am at. The good news is that it’s never too late to grow into a flower that can shine the brightest like there’s no tomorrow.
After six years of being in community college (I dropped out once for a year), I’ll finally obtain my Associate’s Degree this May. I would have never thought that I would have been good enough to finish college, yet here I am now in my mid 20’s getting my life together. I realize that the only true supervillain in your life that can seriously hold you back from growing is yourself. I am here to tell you super folks is that we can’t always be afraid to grow out of our old behaviors and ways of thinking. We have to be brave enough and willing enough to get out of our own way and to plant marvelous seeds that will give us a healthy garden of success.
All in all, this life that you have is way too precious to waste away. You have good people in your life that want the best for you, so why allow the bad experiences and behaviors to stop you from reaching your transformational state that can light up this world? If you know that you’re worthy of enough of becoming a hero of your own story then start cleaning up the weeds in your mind and allow yourself to grow into a vibrant flower that can restore light unto this earth.
