Not all superheroes wear capes, yet they have spontaneous superpowers that inspire us through unconditional love, compassion, kindness, empathy, courage, neverending faith, optimism, and wisdom. Without the superheroes that I have in my life at this point, I wouldn’t have the strength to see myself through the light. I can’t express through the words of my mouth how much hope I have through the friends that I have. Being a devoted fan of Spider-Man and Superman, I understood at a young age that the two characters represent what it means to be a hero that the world could aspire to be.

As I write this post, I want to express that the world needs heroes. My friends are the most incredible human beings that I have ever met. They make me believe in the good of humanity. Their kindness and empathy illuminate my heart and dreams of becoming a superhero just like them. They may not even know it, but they’re the real superheroes that I dreamed of.

Even though life is hard, I can still believe in hope because of them. They give me a powerful reason to push myself beyond my fears, to fight the hardest like there’s no tomorrow, and to believe in myself and trust in God.

I recall watching a video about Superman on what makes him an interesting character. It’s not his godlike powers that make him compelling it is the content of his character that I see my friends possess. The inspiration for writing this post is to illustrate that there are kindhearted people on this planet. I would have never imagined the friends that I have now that make me feel loved. I owe them big time for being the heroes I needed the most. Thank you!
