Power of the Mind

Complaining has never solved any of my problems. What has solved my problems was through taking action. Failing to take action made me regret things of the past. Things I wished I could have done better or dared to do so. You know the lessons we learn in life are meant to sharpen us. To better us as human beings.

I meditated on the idea that our brains our powerful mechanisms. I realized people like Muhammad Ali, Kobe Bryant, Leonardo da Vinci, Nikola Tesla, Ludwig van Beethoven, and many of the greats from history used their brains to maximum use. The power of the mind seems to be underplayed when dealing with everyday problems.

From my personal experience, I struggled with a learning disability, which made me at the time feel less capable of what I thought I couldn’t achieve. Despite my weaknesses, I learned to overcome those issues by applying myself to hard work. Yes, I complained a lot about how dumb I was. But on the bright side, I am proud of the challenges I have been given. Without those challenges, I probably wouldn’t be in my last semester of university.

Proving myself wrong about my inadequacies is the best kind of lesson. Those lessons remind me of where I came from. How I can still contend with life’s challenges. It’s through the reminder that death can be near at any corner that I shouldn’t take my life for granted.

I am still in my Jedi Knight training and have yet to be given the rank of Master. Till then, I have much growth needed for the future ahead of me.
