It is not just an anime or manga, it’s a way of life.

It’s about overcoming challenges, finding hope, seeking redemption, and believing in yourself.

Discovering the untapped potential that resides in you.

Fighting for a powerful dream by taking the path of most resistance.

Forging strong bonds that remain unbreakable.

Learning how to love one’s self through self-acceptance.

Never give into the spirit of doubt when the tides become overwhelming.

Cherishing the relationships you have.

Seeking out the biggest challenges in life while remaining humble.

Believing in the power of your family and friends.

Offering a helping hand when you’re companion is down for the count.

Seeing failure as a lesson to grow.

Learning the power of forgiveness.

Learning how to adapt through setbacks.

Not caring what other people think of you.

Being optimistic about the future despite the hopelessness we face.

Seeing that love is worth fighting for and that it makes us stronger.

Letting go of our pride to gain clarity within our flaws.

Understanding that it’s never too late to become the strongest person in the universe.

Final Thoughts

The story of Dragon Ball has made a difference in my life. It has helped me in ways I would have never imagined it could. It gave me a purpose to exercise when I feel tired. It gave me a dream to come to Japan to pursue my B.A. Degree. It gave me a passion to study karate, boxing, comic book illustration, and animation. The story has blessed me with my best friend. It has helped me through the darkest moments of life when I was alone. It has given me much hope in terms of surpassing my limiting beliefs. And it gave me a reason to keep fighting for the dreams that matter the most to me.

Akira Toriyama blessed me with an incredible story, which is a way of life. This is through the message of becoming the best version of ourselves. I’ll miss him because he saved my life in various ways. Rest in peace Toriyama-san, and may I see you one day in The Otherworld.
