When I lift weights and do calisthenics, I feel strong and at peace with myself. Training my body for the past several years has been apart of my superhero journey.
Getting that super strength, endurance, durability, and stamina comes with training the body. I have yet to reach the superhuman level.
I can tell you back in the old days I was a skinny toothpick weighing over 100 to 120lbs. Barely any muscles to show forth besides my six packed abs.
As of now, I’m at 150lbs which is good progress for me. How I started out during the workout arc was due to being bullied for my weight. So one of my major inspirations like Dragon Ball Z and Marvel/DC superheroes inspired me to get in shape.
Working out has been therapeutic for me when I feel out of shape and dealing with emotional struggles. It’s like when you get yourself into a routine of getting in shape you start feeling better about yourself. Training also helps you to change your eating habits by being conscious of what you consume.
Consuming the correct nutrients is pivotal for a sharper mind and healthy body. Trust me, don’t let the junk food be your source of gaining weight and muscle. Eat good, rest enough, and de-stress as much as possible.
